Mr. Rodel Notorio, BSN-4B student of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges won over Ms. Alyssa Barbie Barbosa, also from the said institution, by 32 votes on the presidential race of the Red Cross Youth Council elections last June 15, 2011 at Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, Nabua, Camarines Sur.
Garnering a total of 220 votes (53.92% of the total 408 votes), Mr. Notorio trounced his close rival, Ms. Alyssa Barbie Barbosa, who gained the remaining 188, 46.08% of the total votes.
Other elected officers were Daryl A. Figura, Vice President; Princess Mae L. Follosco, Secetary; Trinity Kae I. Sertan, Treasurer; Louella Mae T. Coralde, Auditor, Paul Adrian G. Filio and Loraine G. Rada, Business Managers; Sarah T. Parais, Public Information Officer; Brian Deo A. Tataro and Michael Angelo C. Navarra were elected as Nursing and Midwifery Representatives respectively.
Aside from the CSPC-RCYC elections, the candidates of the whites (CHCT Department Organization), Philippine Nursing Students Associations and Primary Health Care Providers were declared as winners for gathering 50%+1 (quorum) votes for the total CHCT student’s population.
Only 408 out of 500 total number of student population participated in the said election or just 50% based on the list of enrollees in the CHCT issued by the College Registrar.
The election Process was organized by the COMELEC chairman Mrs. Naneth M. Oida with the assistance of the Central Student Council.
